Slow Sunday : Full English Breakfast

“Detach from needing to have things work out a certain way. The universe is perfect and there are no failures. Give yourself the gift of detaching from your worries and trust that everything is happening perfectly.” ー Unknown

Often, unplanned things work out just perfectly – as if it was planned all along.

Last Sunday, my boyfriend and I decided to go to town to have brunch. I always love the idea of having brunch sessions. Indulging with lovely food around someone special and appreciating the freedom together… It is a beauty of weekends.

As we were walking around, we reached to a place called Grow40. And for the record, this was totally unplanned; We were planning to go to this other balcony cafe I found online the night before, but we couldn’t find it.

It was such a cozy place and of course, it happened to be located at the corner of the artsy North Laine. Grow40 is a local-friendly place filled with love for their homegrown ingredients. We both ordered the full English breakfast and they were just so beautifully-prepared. (Extra points for those hash browns!) I was able to let go of my worries of not being able to find the place I initially planned on going to. But this place was so perfect that it felt like I was in a movie ー the atmosphere, the moment, everything. (I know this sounds cheesy, but you know what I mean.) Despite the gloomy English weather, I could not have asked for a better start to our Sunday.

There are so many cafes in Brighton ー not to forget, in Hove and Kemptown ー and if you’re a cafe lover like myself, you will definitely fall in love with all of those lovely places. Each cafe has their own uniqueness and even sipping on a cup of latte for an example, tastes differently. It’s always fun to try and find your favourite go-to place.
